An experience with a fabulous host family

For many, going to Macau is inevitably associated with holidays at the heart of the constant animation of luxury hotels and the biggest casinos in China. For me, I had the chance to carry out 4 months of university exchange program within the framework of my Master 2 Management of tourism and international hospitality.

An exchange program is a unique experience, an experience that will have an impact on my future life. It is learning how to become familiar with a new culture, to live in a community and to manage on its own in a new environment, but above all it is an incredible opportunity to meet students from all over the world in an exceptional setting.

The Macau tour actually begins once I have gone to Largo de Senado Square. There, we are no longer in Asia but in Portugal !!!

What a change of scenery when I discover all these buildings with a Mediterranean style in Asia. Afterwards, you can follow the signposted path: Leal Senado, the church of Saint Dominic, the ruins of Saint Paul's church, the fortress and all of these cultural places around 3 islands. Then visit the small village of Taipa, where is located my host university. It is a pleasure to walk in the middle of these narrow streets. Here is the same: a little piece of Portugal but dressed in Asian culture and colors.

Now time for study!

First of all, on the administrative side, everything was well organized. The management of the students is very well organized, a pleasant welcome during a nocturnal arrival, i was even able to book my room when I applied and I was not disappointed in its quality, a staff always present in case of need, a daily assistance in the university residence made available, interesting and constructive courses and especially a permanent security.

I would like to thank the Macau University Of Science And Technology, Mrs. Christina, Mrs. Emily and all the professors for their technical, practical and pedagogical support.

Finally, this is absolutely not the last time I will visit Macau.
