Macao Center for Research of Latin America (MCRLA)

With a population of close to 100 million and with Spanish, Portuguese and English as official languages for many of the 34 countries in Latin America, there is a strong association of trades as well as cultural exchanges with China. They also are important potential partners for the national “Road & Belt” initiative.

The MCRLA would help MUST in its research on Latin American countries. UIC could contribute greatly with its strong linguistic resources in Spanish, Portuguese, English, and Chinese in the areas of language education, academic research, and outreach services.
